With no rain and a beautiful sun in the sky, Boston College's Arts Festival had a successful opening day, and Mer+ge's table was right in the midst of all of it. I love how ArtsFest gives students the opportunity to walk by between classes and check out all kinds of artwork and some really cool performances. It was cool to see new faces making the mer+ge, and old fans coming out to show their support. Thank you all so much; especially to our VERY AWESOME volunteers. Avatar on DVD... Just NOT the Same!

I saw Avatar in theaters a few months back, and visually, it absolutely blew my mind. Every scene had so much going on, and I couldn't take my eyes off of the screen. James Cameron is definitely a media genius. Now with the BluRay and DVD out, I wonder if they are going to make any editions in 3D so that I can relive the experience all over again. Get on that Mr. Cameron! Haha, just kidding. You've done enough.
What in the World Does a Muskrat Look Like?

So at the photo shoot yesterday we were trying to figure out what a Muskrat looked like. We had all heard of it, but none of us could think of what the little guy (or girl) looked like. As soon as I got home I googled it and this is what appeared! NOW, we all know what a Muskrat looks like! Knowledge is POWER!

Every morning, like most folks, I have to think about my outfit before I get dressed. Today I realized that priests wear the same outfits everyday. Everyday! And they look so good in it too! Life would be much simpler if I became one. But I guess the down side is that I wouldn't be able to rock Mer+ge shirts to work. So I'm happy being a regular human-being.

I would have loved to blog about something funny today, but last night I had the HUGE honor of recieveing the, "School Award" for the class of 2010 Woods School of Advancing Studies. One of few graduate students awarded at the amazing ceremony, I had the chance to sit amongst the best from each graduate program at BC. I was nominated for my achievements with Mer+ge, and because I exemplify the mission that the Wood's School stands for. I must say this was a huge honor to accept the award and to be humbled by Father Wood's, the Dean of the school, who prepared a speech praising my accomplishments. In my mind Marathon Monday is the most unhealthy day in Boston. Having experienced it for years, I can say that you are either going to be running way too much or drinking way too much. Talk about being at both ends of the spectrum. CRAZY story though... a friend of a friend acutally handed out a cup of vodka to a runner instead of water. AWFUL!

It's definitely spring time, and the weather today was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better day to kick off Mer+ge's Spring Photo Shoot. We scouted some incredible modeling talent on Northeastern's campus, so be on the lookout for Mer+ge's fresh new apparel coming soon. While the photos aren't being posted just yet, I wanted to at least give yall the heads up.

Doctors Asking Questions During Surgery?

I have no problem with doctors asking questions during surgery. HOWEVER, I was watching Discovery Channel last night about a young man from India who had a huge tumor on his face. While the doctors were performing the surgery to remove it, they were asking questions like: "Is that his mouth?" "Should we sew here?" The worst part was that the ANSWER WAS, "I don't know." YIKES..

So I played for Baylor my freshman year in college and I must say it was a very very good year for us. We won the National Championship, the Big XII Tournament Championship, and the Big XII regular season championship.
